Falcon and The Winter Soldier Video Highlights Wakanda’s Dora Milaje

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier: featurette highlights Wakanda’s Dora Milaje

Marvel Studios released a behind-the-scenes look at the return of the Doria Milaje on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The featurette showcases the incredible stuntwork and presence of the Wakandan warriors on the show. We truly don’t mind seeing #NotOurCap get his shield handed to him.

The excitement of their scenes in last week’s episode completely gave audiences more of what they want to see, a Dora Milaje show. Florence Kasumba’s return as Ayo was simply what the show needed and gave us background on Bucky’s history of becoming the White Wolf. Though we did note that at the end of the episode, after he was disarmed, Ayo dismissed him as James. Perhaps a sign of disappointment in his choice to free the man who murdered Wakanda’s king? Zemo dipped while John Walker distracted everyone. And while we’re still reeling from that last shot, we hope to see more of the Dora Milaje as the series charges toward its conclusion.

Check out the featurette in the player below for Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier showcasing Ayo and the Dora Milaje’s return to the MCU. Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, director Kari Skogland, Florence Kasumba and Wyatt Russell discuss the making of the episode, which showcases the might of the Wakandan warriors. Directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman as head writer, the six-episode MCU series stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Brühl, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Erin Kellyman, Adepero Oduye, Amy Aquino and Danny Ramirez.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is now streaming on Disney+. The MCU limited series picks up on Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, who was gifted the Captain America shield from Steve Rogers. It follows Sam’s journey in realizing what the shield means not only to him but the world and just why he might be the right person to carry it. Together with his reluctant partner and best friend Bucky Barnes, aka The Winter Soldier, who is on a path to right his wrongs, they embark on a mission to uncover the truth behind new super soldiers carrying out acts of violence for more serum. Hot on their trails is John Walker, the U.S. appointed new Captain America, trying to catch up to the heroic acts of the Avengers armed with questionable morals. After Bucky releases Zemo to help track down the super-soldier group, he draws attention from Black Panther’s Dora Milaje warriors interested in bringing the villain to justice.

The penultimate episode begins streaming exclusively on Disney+ this Friday.
