El Rey Network and Alamo Drafthouse to Screen From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series

El Rey Network and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema announced today that the premiere episode of Robert Rodriguez’s “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” will screen in nine Alamo Drafthouse theaters on Tuesday, March 11. Here’s the full announcement:

El Rey Network and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema are excited to announce the premiere episode of FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES on the big screen in nine Alamo Drafthouse theaters around the country timed to its El Rey Network debut on Tuesday, March 11 at 9PM ET/8PM CT. Tim League, Alamo Drafthouse founder and CEO, will host a Q&A with Robert Rodriguez and the cast of FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES following the premiere and screenings. The Q&A will be live at the Austin theater, while simultaneously streaming to all eight of the other Alamo theaters and on the El Rey Network YouTube channel. The 30-minute Q&A will begin at 10PM ET/9PM CT.

El Rey Network and Alamo Drafthouse are proud to be collaborating to bring a unique experience to fans nationwide, whether watching from home or on the big screen.

Created and executive produced by cable network Founder and Chairman, filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, and based on the cult classic film of the same name, the 10-episode, hour-long series is El Rey Network’s first scripted original.

FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES will premiere as the first original on Rodriguez’sEl Rey Network Tuesday, March 11 at 9 pm ET.

FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES is centered around bank robber, Seth Gecko (Cotrona) and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richard “Richie” Gecko (Holtz), who are wanted by the FBI and Texas Rangers Earl McGraw (Johnson) and Freddie Gonzalez (Garcia) after a bank heist leaves several people dead. While on the run to Mexico, Seth and Richie encounter former pastor Jacob Fuller (Patrick) and his family, whom they take hostage. Using the family RV to cross the border, chaos ensues when the group detours to a strip club that is populated by vampires. They are forced to fight until dawn in order to get out alive. The series deepens the tone and expands the storyline of the film, adds new characters and backstories, and explores the Mesoamerican mythology behind the creatures inside the club.
