As the hit Netflix series eyes a resumption of production in September, the Duffer Brothers have confirmed that the highly-anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things will not be the end for the sci-fi horror comedy. (Via TVLine)

Season 4 won’t be the end,” Ross Duffer told The Hollywood Reporter. “We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The coronavirus pandemic] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story.

The series was created by Matt and Sean Duffer, who also serve as executive producers and directors along with Shawn Levy (who also directs), Dan Cohen and Iain Patterson.

Stranger Things has received 30 Emmy nominations last year (with six wins) from its first two seasons and was honored with the 2017 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, as well as the 2017 Norman Felton Producer of the Year Award in Episodic Television — Drama from the Producers Guild of America.

Seasons 1-3 are now available for streaming exclusively on Netflix.
