Taika Waititi Wants Mandalorian Fans to Petition to Bring Back IG-11

Taika Waititi Wants The Mandalorian Fans to Start a Petition to Bring Back IG-11

SPOILER WARNING! The Mandalorian Season 1 may be over, but that just means it’s time to focus on the next season. Enter Taika Waititi, who directed the show’s season finale and voiced one of its most memorable characters, IG-11. Well, turns out Waititi feels fans should rally to bring back IG-11, who, viewers may recall, died a heroic death in the season finale.

I feel we just need to start a petition because I think that character, really, he held up the entire season, didn’t he?” Waititi told TheWrap on Monday. “From episode one all the way through, he was the hero.”

Clearly, Waititi is being cheeky, though, it was a bit of a letdown to see such a highly publicized character bite the big one so quickly. In any case, he better be careful voicing such opinions because the Star Wars fanbase is not one to be taken lightly.
