Arrow Cast Say Their Goodbyes as Filming Wraps for the Series Finale

After 7 years since Arrow debuted in 2012, the cast and showrunners Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz took to their social media accounts to reveal that filming has officially wrapped on Arrow’s upcoming series finale titled “Fadeout,” which is set to premiere on January 28, 2020. In their posts which you can check below, they’ve also said their goodbyes by thanking the fans for their support throughout eight seasons.

Heading up to Vancouver for the last time for #Arrow. The first time I flew up was for episode 115. I was the first writer to be on set and @StephenAmell asked if I was Canadian cause I raided the Roots store across from my hotel.

Today is the last day on Arrow. The last day I will get to go to work with these beautiful humans on a show that gave me so much. These ppl were with me through all the good & sad times & helped me through more than I can ever repay them for. Thank you @gberlanti for bringing me on this wonderful journey & to all the incredible writers, producers, cast, crew, & FANS for being so incredible all these yrs.

I took this photo almost 4 years ago. I’d just gotten off a call with Warner Bros. where I learned my life was about to change forever. My journey on Arrow had begun, and I would be moving to Vancouver in a few days. I took this picture because I wanted to remember the feeling I had in that moment. The overwhelming excitement. The immense gratitude. At the time I had no idea where this adventure would lead. I didn’t know this show would have such an outstanding lifespan, or how many people, young and old, I would be able to meet and help through playing this character. Or how they would help me. Most of all, I didn’t know the greatest gift was waiting on the other side of the border. My cast. Who would welcome me with open arms and become my greatest source of strength. My soulmates. My family. And Stephen, our gracious and unwavering leader, to whom I am eternally grateful. Today begins our last week on Arrow. As thankful as I felt the day this photo was taken, nothing could describe how much that love and gratitude has grown. I am so proud of our cast, crew, writers, and producers. I hope you enjoy this final season. And I hope when you look back, you’ll find this story has moved you, inspired you, and changed you for the better. After spending time at Slabside, Oliver Queen wanted to give back to the city that he loves. Since everyone knows his true identity, Team Arrow worked alongside SCPD as vigilantes to help protect the city at all costs. However, last season led to Oliver finding out about Emiko, the bow-wielding assassin and ring leader of the Ninth Circle who also happened to be his half-sister. The season 7 finale saw them fighting for their lives-both in the present and the future. So, what will the state of Team Arrow look like in the show’s eighth and final season?

Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Katie Cassidy as Laurel/Black Siren, Rick Gonzalez as Rene Ramirez/Wild Dog, and Juliana Harkavy as Dinah Drake/Black Canary. Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll) has joined the cast as Diggle, Jr. — known as J.J. — the Flashpoint-born son of John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson). We’ll meet J.J. in the future as the leader of the Deathstroke Gang, where he faces off against Mia and his adopted brother, Connor.

Based on the DC characters, the series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Wendy Mericle and Sarah Schechter. The show is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
