Westworld Season 3 Set For Early 2020 Premiere; Future Seasons Possible

Westworld Season 3 Might Have Fewer Episodes Than Previous Seasons

According to The Wrap, the upcoming third season of HBO‘s award-winning series Westworld will be shorter than previous seasons of the series. The first two clocked in at 10 episodes each, while the trade reports season 3 will consist of eight episodes. However, it is still unclear if the new episodes will have a longer run time in order to make up for the season’s shorter episode count.

Newcomers for the series include Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Lena Waithe (Ready Player One), with NFL player Marshawn Lynch, and Vincent Cassel (Black Swan, Eastern Promises). They will be joined by returning cast members Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, and Rodrigo Santoro in the series.

Westworld comes from production companies Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series is based on the film written by Michael Crichton. A premiere date for season three has currently not been set but it will debut in 2020.
