FX Sets Mr. Inbetween, Mayans MC & It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Returns!

FX has been hard at work preparing the schedule for its fall lineup and has announced that the acclaimed crime black comedy Mr. Inbetween and long-running comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as well as the Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC, will all return in September (via Variety)!

Mr. Inbetween is a half-hour drama is created by and stars Scott Ryan as Ray Shoesmith. He reprises his role from the 2005 film The Magician (pick it up here), a criminal for hire who is struggling to balance his roles as a father, boyfriend, ex-husband, and friend. Ryan is joined by Damon Merriman (Justified), Justin Rosniak, Brooke Satchwell, Jackson Tozer, Nicholas Cassim, Chika Yasumura and Matt Nable.

The series has received very positive reviews from both critics and audiences, currently maintaining an 87% from critics on review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes, and has performed decently in the ratings in its time slot after the Sons of Anarchy spin-off, Mayans MC. 

The first season can be viewed on FX Now and FX On Demand and the second season is set to premiere on September 12 at 10 p.m. EST!

Mayans MC is the next chapter in the Sons of Anarchy saga, Kurt Sutter’s award-winning series that was the highest-rated ongoing drama series in FX history for seven seasons. The Mayans were recurring and pivotal players in Sons of Anarchy throughout the show’s seven-year run.

The spinoff series is set in a post-Jax Teller world, where EZ Reyes, fresh out of prison, is a prospect in the Mayan MC charter on the Cali/Mexi border. Now EZ must carve out his new outlaw identity in a town where he once was the golden boy who had the American Dream within his grasp.

Mayans MC stars Edward James Olmos, JD Pardo, Sarah Bolger, Clayton Cardenas, Richard Cabral, Michael Irby, Raoul Trujillo, Antonio Jaramillo and Carla Baratta.

Noberto Barba directed the pilot and will be an Executive Producer, with Sutter serving as Executive Producer and Elgin James serving as Co-Executive Producer. The series is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.

The second season of Mayans MC is set to premiere on September 3 at 10 p.m. EST!

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia follows the misguided dreams and blundered schemes of The Gang — Mac, Dennis (Howerton), Charlie (Day), Sweet Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Frank (Danny DeVito) — as they try to navigate life, love, and their long-suffering bar, Paddy’s Pub.

The series was created by McElhenney, who also serves as executive producer along with Howerton, Day, Michael Rotenberg, Nick Frenkel, Tom Lofaro, Scott Marder, and David Hornsby. The show is produced by FX Productions.

The 14th season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is set to debut on September 25 at 10 p.m. EST!
