HBO’s Silicon Valley ending with Season 6
TheWrap brings word that Silicon Valley Season 6 will be the final season of the HBO Emmy-winning, Golden Globe-nominated comedy. The announcement confirms suspicions that the series would be concluding soon following a delay on the production of Season 6 that accommodated co-showrunner Alec Berg’s duties on the series Barry.
“Silicon Valley has been a career and life highlight for us. We’ll miss it desperately, but we’ve always let Pied Piper’s journey guide the way, and Season 6 seems to be the fitting conclusion,” showrunners Mike Judge and Alec Berg said. “We are forever indebted to our incredible cast, crew, and partners at HBO. At a certain point, there’s only so much we can do to make the world a better place.”
Silicon Valley takes a comic look at the modern-day epicenter of the high-tech gold rush, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. A collaboration between Mike Judge and Alec Berg, Silicon Valley’s cast includes Thomas Middleditch, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Suzanne Cryer, and Jimmy O. Yang. Former star TJ Miller departed the series after the fourth season.
The series was created by Mike Judge & John Altschuler & Dave Krinsky; executive producers include Judge, Alec Berg, Michael Rotenberg, and Tom Lassally; co-executive producers, Jim Kleverweis, Clay Tarver, Dan O’Keefe, Jamie Babbit, Chris Provenzano and Graham Wagner; supervising producers, Adam Countee, Carrie Kemper and Aaron Zelman; consulting producer, Jonathan Dotan.
