Isaac Hempstead Wright Says Bran Twist Hails From George R.R. Martin

The Three-Eyed Raven himself Isaac Hempstead Wright revealed one of the more surprising plot points in the Game of Thrones finale was part of George R. R. Martin’s plan all along. Bran being the King of the Six kingdoms was always in the cards according to a new behind-the-scenes interview for the series.

“David and Dan told me there were two things [author] George R.R. Martin had planned for Bran, and that was the Hodor revelation, and that he would be king. So that’s pretty special to be directly involved in something that is part of George’s vision. It was a really nice way to wrap it up.”
