Lethal Weapon Cancelled After Three Seasons

Variety reports that the troubled Lethal Weapon TV show is coming to a close as Fox has officially cancelled the series.

Originally starring Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans as a new version of characters Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh, the series has had its fair share of on and off-screen drama. Reports surfaced last year about the pair’s fraught relationship on set which eventually lead to the firing of Crawford from the series. Sean William Scott replaced Crawford for the third season, but Wayans already announced last year he would not be returning for another season.

Combining action, drama and humor, Lethal Weapon was based on the hit movie franchise and also starred Keesha Sharp (The People v. O.J. Simpson), Kevin Rahm (Mad Men), Jordana Brewster (The Fast and the Furious), Johnathan Fernandez, Dante Brown, Chandler Kinney and Michelle Mitchenor.

Lethal Weapon was a production of Warner Bros. Television in association with Lin Pictures and Good Session Productions. Matt Miller, Dan Lin, Jennifer Gwartz and McG served as executive producers.
