Luke Perry's final Riverdale

Luke Perry’s Final Riverdale Episode Airs This Week

The world was shocked when actor Luke Perry died unexpectedly from complications of a stroke in early March. Support for the former Beverly Hills 90210 star came from every corner of show business, and now Perry’s final episode of Riverdale is set to air this week. Perry played Fred Andrews, the father to Archie Andrews, and Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa took to Twitter to announce the character’s inevitable departure.

As always, Fred’s imparting words of wisdom to Archie. A beautiful, true moment between a father and his son. Wish these scenes could go on forever...” Sacasa wrote.

In season 3, Archie and the gang continues to dive into the secrets that loom and keep emerging from the shadows in a town that once seemed like a quiet, ordinary place. The circumstances surrounding Archie’s arrest kick off the drama of season three as the gang tries to #FreeArchie and Hiram Lodge continues to flesh out his plans to control not only Riverdale, but the ever-growing SoDale.
