GLOW Season 3 Episode 3 Recap
In the previous episode of Netflix’s GLOW, Sam confessed his feelings for Ruth, but she didn’t reciprocate. In GLOW Season 3 Episode 3, Cherry tried to get the girls in shape, and Bash networked with twin brothers who also run a Vegas show.
The GLOW ladies were neglecting their physical fitness, as they spent their nights partying in Las Vegas. Cherry met Denise who worked with the showgirls in Rhapsody. Denise led a tough dance class where the showgirls outshined the GLOW girls.
After the class, Cherry talked with Denise, who was no longer in Rhapsody. She’d had a baby and was out sooner than she thought because of the difficult pregnancy. While Cherry and Keith were about to try for a baby, Cherry told him that she’d changed her mind. She worried about her agency after the baby’s birth. Keith reminded her that he’d been waiting for her to be ready for a family.
Bash and Sam went to play tennis. Bash dropped it on Sam that they were playing doubles with Jerry and Lev Zeissman, twin entrepreneurs who had their own show at the Coconut. Sam had trouble keeping up and half-heartedly quit smoking. While the ladies were in their dressing room getting ready for the show, Bash brought the twins to meet them. They made the women uncomfortable as they discussed Debbie’s breasts.
During the dance class, Denise commented on Debbie’s rear, and she left early. She opted to take the stairs up and down for exercise. Debbie ran into Sandy. She told Debbie that she should embrace getting older and focus on being a businesswoman like her.
Ruth tried to cheer Debbie up by dancing topless like a showgirl. Sam walked in and awkwardly left. Ruth took Debbie to the kitchen to get a burger. Debbie admitted to Ruth that she was led to believe from a young age that her worth was in her looks. In her hotel, she watched a video of her son talking and walking. As the video played, Debbie went into the bathroom and made herself vomit.
Instead of the dance class, Sheila and Tammé went to an acting class. The instructor told them that they weren’t letting go of who they are in service of their characters. As they left, Tammé dropped her things but couldn’t pick them up on her own. Her back was stiff, but she wanted to wait until they were back in LA to go to a doctor.
Melrose caught the eye of a young, good-looking man on the casino floor. After a question of rate, Melrose thought he believed that she was a prostitute. After they had sex, it was clear that he was the prostitute when he asked for $200. She refused to pay him and kicked him out of her room.
