The OA Season 2 Episode 6 Recap

The OA Season 2 Episode 6 Recap

In the previous episode of Netflix’s The OA, Prairie and Karim entered the puzzle house. In The OA season 2 episode 6, we’re back in the original dimension with BBA, Angie, and the boys.

Amber Alert

Angie’s station wagon broke down on the way to Reno. BBA wanted to say goodbye to her uncle before jumping to another dimension. They hitched a ride to a diner, where Jesse explained that he had researched parts of Prairie’s story. He’d discovered the hospital in San Francisco and thought that they should go there, but everyone dismissed it.

At the diner, they saw Buck and BBA on the news. Buck’s mother believed they were in a cult. Since he was a minor and they crossed state lines, they believed the FBI was after BBA. They crushed their phones and headed to Uncle Carl’s house.

BBA had called her cousin, Amy, and told her not to listen to the news. Amy set up tents on the beach for the kids to stay in. BBA visited with her bedridden uncle; he would be passing away soon. She thanked him for providing a haven for her and her brother, Theo, when they were children. Amy was honest with BBA and explained that the sheriff had called her. She was giving BBA some time but wanted Betty to turn herself in the next day.

Backfire

The OA Season 2 Episode 6 Recap

Jesse was suffering from PTSD because of the shooting. When a car backfired, he panicked, thinking he’d been shot.

At Carl’s, Jesse spoke to him, and Amy and BBA thanked him for his kind words. That night, BBA dreamed of Theo and Jesse. Jesse wore patches and asked her to help him. She went outside to the tents and found Jesse with Carl’s Fentanyl patches on his chest.

Alfonso tried CPR, but his body was cold. They tried using the movements to save him, but Buck didn’t believe they would work and stopped against Steve’s wishes. Amy called the sheriff, and they took him away in an ambulance.

Not Alone

The OA Season 2 Episode 6 Recap

As they drove off, Steve left the car and ran after the ambulance. He tried doing the movements by himself. Steve went back into Carl’s house and shaved his head.

Everyone else checked into a motel. French snuck away to call Rahim, who arrived to talk with them. They told him everything and hoped he would help them.

Rahim revealed himself to be connected to the OA. He was sent to help her. BBA understood that while there were different dimensions, it was all connected. He assured them they were meant to go to the hospital on Treasure Island.
