Where Is Serial Killer John Robinson now?

In 2000, the authorities apprehended John Robinson after the investigators discovered the remains of two women in Kansas City. Although this was not the first time Robinson went behind bars for criminal activities, this case went on to nab national and international attention because of how brutal it was.

According to the Kansas City Star, authorities found remains of two women in barrels on rural land he owned in Linn County, south of Kansas City. After discovering those remains, the police continued their investigation and found the remains of three more women in another property owned by Robinson. As per the media outlet, the authorities linked John Robinson to the gruesome killings of at least eight women. The investigators revealed that Robinson killed these women in a similar fashion. According to the outlet, the culprit was in a master-slave relationship with the victims.

In June 2000, the authorities charged him with the murders of the five women. Robinson was put on trial two years later, and the prosecution team presented much evidence against the accused. On October 29, 2002, the jury found John Robinson of killing three women. The court eventually sentenced him to death in January 2003. As of now, he is on death row in Kansas. Heavy reported that Robinson is currently in the El Dorado Correctional Facility.

How was John Robinson caught?

As mentioned above, the authorities arrested John Robinson in June 2000. According to The New York Times, the police captured the serial killer after two women told the investigators that they met Robinson in local hotels. Citing the statements, the outlet also revealed that both women used to meet him for “sadomasochistic sex.” However, Robinson assaulted the ladies before robbing them.

The police arrested Robinson and searched two of his properties. After finding the remains, the authorities loaded the barrels into a truck and sent them for autopsies. ABC News also reported that John Robinson sent letters or emails to the family members of his victims. As per the investigators, he sent letters to the family so that they would learn about the victims’ demise very late. Eventually, the police charged John Robinson for killing three women and found him guilty in 2022.
