On March 11, 2011, Emmett Corrigan, a lawyer, was shot twice outside a Walgreens pharmacy in Idaho after which he died at the scene. Another man, Robert Hall was also shot in the head and found unconscious at the scene. Investigation revealed that the men found themselves at odds when Hall found out that Emmett Corrigan was involved in an affair with his wife. Hall’s wife Kandi and Emmett, met outside the pharmacy that night before Hall shot Corrigan.
The court found Robert Hall guilty in 2012. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison and was charged with second-degree murder of Corrigan. Hall is currently serving time at the Idaho State Correctional Institution in Kuna, Ada County, based on data from the Idaho Department of Corrections.

On the night of the shooting, Emmett Corrigan and Kandi Hall met in a truck in the parking lot of Walgreens. Robert Hall arrived there, waited for them to come out and approached them. Kandi admitted that she had s*x with Corrigan right before the incident. According to her record, it was Corrigan who was relatively perturbed that day and provoked Hall before she turned around and ducked, missing out on watching the gunshot itself. The next thing she claims to have seen is the gun being dropped in front of Hall with him injured on the head.
The revelation of an affair between Kandi and Corrigan, made it easier for the investigation to progress, with the motive becoming clear. Emmett Corrigan’s wife just gave birth to their fifth child before he died while Robert Hall was a father of two.
