Joel Guy Jr’s case explained: Where is he now?

As mentioned earlier, Joel Guy Jr. is currently serving his two life sentences at the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tennessee. The murder of Joel and Lisa Guy shook the entire neighborhood, and people couldn’t believe that their own son killed them. As soon as the police searched their house, they knew Guy Jr. was involved in these slayings. They put him under surveillance and apprehended him on November 29, 2016.

During the trial, the prosecution team noted Joel and Lisa had planned to cut their son off financially. Guy Jr. didn’t have a job and spent almost a decade being a college student. The investigators also stated that he stabbed his father 42 times and damaged several integral parts of his body. Meanwhile, the culprit stabbed his mother 31 times before dismembering their bodies and dissolving them.

The prosecution presented several evidence that proved Joel Guy Jr. was responsible for the killings of his parents. The jury found him guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of felony murder, and two counts of abuse of a corpse in the case.
