Our first look at director Burr Steers’ adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s Jane Austen reimagining, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has arrived! EW has revealed an image of the Bennet sisters, assembled to to take down the undead.

Starring Lily James as Elizabeth, Bella Heathcote as Jane, Ellie Bamber as Lydia, Millie Brady as Mary and Suki Waterhouse as Kitty, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies also stars Sam Riley as Mr. Darcy, Jack Huston as Wickham and Matt Smith as Mr. Collins.

Mr. Bingley Found for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Adaptation

Deadline says Douglas Booth is joining the cast of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Yes, that adaptation is finally getting its shit together and heading to the big screen.

The site adds Booth (Noah) will play Mr. Bingley. He’ll join Lily James as Elizabeth Bennett, Bella Heathcote as one of the other four Bennett sisters, Jack Huston as George Wickham and Sam Riley as Mr. Darcy.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Adds Jack Huston

We learned last week that movement is finally being made on the big-screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s Jane Austen reimagining, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Today, Deadline reports that the cast has a new addition in “Boardwalk Empire” star Jack Huston. He’ll play George Wickham opposite Lily James (Cinderella) as Elizabeth Bennett, Bella Heathcote (Dark Shadows) as one of the other four Bennett sisters, and Sam Riley (Maleficent) as Mr. Darcy.

Lily Collins to Headline Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Following a push towards development back in March, Variety reports that Lily Collins is now attached to headline Pride and Prejudice and Zombies with Burr Steers attached to direct.

Panorama Media joins Darko Entertainment, Handsomecharlie Films and producer Allison Shearmur for the adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s worldwide best-seller.

While Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is coming to theaters on Friday, thanks to the likes of director Timur (Wanted) Bekmambetov  and producer Tim Burton, his earlier mash-up novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies still seems to be in development hell in terms of getting made after going through a number of directors including David O. Russell and Craig (Fright Night) Gillespie.

At the junket for “Abe Lincoln,” ShockTillYouDrop.com asked the author/screenwriter if there’s any progress on that long-in-development movie and whether or not we may see his other period horror novel on the screen any time soon.
