Alien: Covenant Red Band Trailer Reveals Creepy Dissection

Earlier this week, 20th Century Fox released the full Green Band trailer for Alien: Covenant, but in the newly-released Red Band trailer they’ve included a shot of a creepy dissection of what looks like an Engineer. This would correspond to something we saw in our set visit, which was an artist painting “a fascinating Engineer anatomy sculpture, like something you would see in a medical school.” We also saw some Australian spider charts, which could correspond to the drawing behind the dissected Engineer. If we had to guess, Michael Fassbender’s android David has been boning up to creating some form of life of his own, but we’ll have to wait and see… Check out the new Covenant Red Band trailer below!

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created with Alien: Covenant, a new chapter in his groundbreaking Alien franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby, and James Franco.

Jack Paglen (Transcendence) and Michael Green (Green Lantern) provided the Alien: Covenant screenplay. Alien: Covenant will open in theaters on May 19.
