Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah are going on a Girls Trip in the new comedy
Universal Pictures has just brought online an announcement trailer for the upcoming comedy Girls Trip. From producer Will Packer (Ride Along and Think Like a Man franchises), Girls Trip is directed by Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man franchise, Barbershop: The Next Cut) and stars Regina Hall (About Last Night, When the Bow Breaks), Queen Latifah (Chicago, Miracles From Heaven), Jada Pinkett Smith (Gotham, Bad Moms) and Tiffany Haddish (Keanu, The Carmichael Show).
Girls Trip begins when four lifelong friends travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival, sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered, and there’s enough dancing, drinking, brawling and romancing to make the Big Easy blush.
From a screenplay by Barbershop: The Next Cut‘s Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver, Girls Trip also stars Larenz Tate (House of Lies, Rescue Me), Kate Walsh (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Private Practice), Mike Colter (The Good Wife, Marvel’s Luke Cage) and Kofi Siriboe (Kicks, Queen Sugar). Look for it to hit the big screen July 21.
Lee also serves as producer on Girls Trip with James Lopez, head of motion pictures for Will Packer Productions, and Preston Holmes, serving as executive producers.
