I have to admit, the teaming of Owen Wilson, Pierce Brosnan and Lake Bell for a thriller directed by John Erick Dowdle (As Above, So Below, Quarantine) sounds a bit odd. Then again, when you watch the trailer and it appears one-time James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, is doing most of the “action” elements (unless you count Owen Wilson’s running) it begins to make sense.
The film is titled No Escape and it centers on Jack (Wilson), an American businessman who, along with his wife (Bell) and daughter, settle into their new home in Southeast Asia. Suddenly they find themselves in the middle of a violent political uprising, and must look for a safe escape as rebels mercilessly attack the city. Sounds, well, rather typical, but who knows.
The pic is set for a September 2 release date, give the trailer a watch below as well as check out a trio of pictures.
