Sean Penn has never delivered a full-on action film so he’s decided to go the Liam Neeson route as the now 54-year-old actor is starring in The Gunman for Taken director Pierre Morel with Open Road set to release the film on February 20. Today the first trailer arrives and it’s all click, click, boom, pow, whiz, bang.
[amz asin=”0872864022″ size=”small”]Based on Jean-Patrick Manchette‘s novel, the film finds Penn playing a former special forces soldier and military contractor suffering from PTSD. He tries to reconnect with his long time love (Jasmine Trinca), but first must go on the run from London to Barcelona and across Europe in order to clear his name. Javier Bardem, Idris Elba, Ray Winstone and Mark Rylance co-star.
