There’s only so long that I can imagine the ridiculous plot of Sex Tape remaining funny before reality kicks in, but the red band trailer does hint at some hilarity (and a little Date Night) as well as a much skinnier Jason Segel than I remember.
Set to hit theaters on July 18 the film reunites Segel with his Bad Teacher co-star, Cameron Diaz and director Jake Kasdan, in a film where Segel and Diaz play a married couple that record a sex tape that accidentally finds its way into the cloud, available to all their friends, family, co-workers, etc.
Watching the trailer I hope Rob Corddry and Ellie Kemper are given a chance to bring a lot to this one, and Rob Lowe playing Diaz’s coke-sniffing, sex addicted boss seems rather inspired as well. Give it a look below.
