We are about two-and-a-half months away from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the second installment in Peter Jackson‘s return to Middle Earth and Warner Bros. is about to begin the day-by-day marketing onslaught as we have a new banner for the film, which you can see directly above (and click for a larger version). In addition to that, a new trailer will arrive tomorrow, October 1, at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET, and you better believe I will be here posting it for you.
The second in a trilogy of films adapting J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellan) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
I’ve included the first trailer below just to make this post that much more exciting. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug hits theaters on December 13.
