First ‘Dom Hemingway’ Trailer is Here It Is, Here I Say!

I had a really good time with Dom Hemingway at the Toronto Film Festival this year, opening my review saying it “feels like a second cousin to Nicolas Winding-Refn‘s Bronson. Albeit it’s not as good (how could it be?), but Jude Law‘s title character carries the same gruff, deep British accent Tom Hardy adopted for Bronson and the batshit nature of the two characters is damn near exactly the same.”

You get a small taste of what the film has to offer in this first trailer for the movie’s upcoming November 2013 UK release, but the film is laced with so much profanity and filthy behavior there is no way to create a trailer that isn’t R-rated and give you an idea of exactly what’s in store. In fact, the trailer sells it as a film revolving around Dom’s money being stolen. I guess, you could say that’s what the story is about, but the overall film’s structure is more of a character journey than a narrative one.

Co-starring Richard E. Grant, “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke, Demian Bichir, Attack the Block‘s Jumayn Hunter and Madalina Diana Ghenea as the femme fatale that jacks Dom’s cash, the film will arrive in the States on April 4, 2014.
