Selena Gomez and Ethan Hawke star in Getaway, releasing on August 30, and with The Purge starring Hawke as well hitting theaters this weekend, Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for the upcoming thriller.
The film finds Hawke playing Brent Magna, a burned out race car driver thrust into a do-or-die mission behind the wheel when his wife is kidnapped. With Brent’s only ally being a young hacker (Gomez), his one hope of saving his wife is to follow the orders of the mysterious voice (Jon Voight) who’s watching his every move through cameras mounted on the car Brent’s driving.

The film is directed by Courtney Solomon and Yaron Levy and for Levy it’s his directorial debut while Solomon was responsible for 2000’s Dungeons & Dragons, after which he produced a whole slew of direct-to-video content as well as Sylvester Stallone‘s recent dud, Bullet to the Head.
