Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s feature directorial debut (which he also wrote), Don Jon, was picked up out of Sundance by Relativity Media and will be hitting theaters this October and the first trailer has arrived.
The pic features Levitt as Jon Martello, a bit of a ladies man, hence the nickname, but while he’s able to take home a new woman every weekend, it just doesn’t compare to the bliss he finds alone in front of the computer watching pornography. The film centers on the search for good old-fashioned expectations of the opposite sex, in a world made of false fantasies, which sounds like a pretty great idea if you ask me.
Along with Levitt, the film co-stars Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore and Tony Danza.
