Magnet has just released the full trailer for their upcoming sci-fi feature Europa Report releasing on iTunes and On Demand on June 27 followed by a theatrical release on August 2.
The film is something of a found footage feature from director Sebastián Cordero described as employing a unique blend of documentary, alternative history and science fiction into a thriller following a contemporary mission to Jupiter’s moon Europa, to investigate the possible existence of alien life within our solar system. Developed in close collaboration with NASA, JPL, SpaceX and other leaders in the scientific community, the film imagines the next step in manned space exploration and is based on recent scientific discoveries and theories.
The film stars Sharlto Copley (District 9), Michael Nyqvist (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Daniel Wu and Anamaria Marinca.
