New, English Subtitled Trailer for Asghar Farhadi’s ‘The Past’

Finally a subtitled version of the trailer for Asghar Farhadi‘s The Past (Le Passé) has arrived along with the official announcement it will play in competition at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.

The film serves as the follow-up to Farhadi’s Oscar-winning film A Separation and stars Berenice Bejo (The Artist), Ali Mosaffa and Tahar Rahim (A Prophet).

The story follows Ahmad (Mosaffa) as he arrives in Paris from Tehran at the request of his wife Marie (Bejo), whom he has not seen after four years of separation to carry out the formalities of their divorce. Upon arrival he sees Marie has taken up with another man (Rahim).
