Okay, last night’s little “teaser” I guess was just that as Sony has now revealed a full international trailer for Django Unchained, Quentin Tarantino‘s homage to the spaghetti western and then some.
Set to hit theaters on December 25, the film stars Jamie Foxx as the recently freed slave Django as he teams with the German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) to hunt down a trio of lowlifes eventually leading them on a mission to rescue Django’s wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), from the clutches of Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), an evil plantation owner.
Along with the names mentioned above, the film co-stars Samuel L. Jackson, Gerald McRaney, Dennis Christopher, M.C. Gainey, Don Johnson, Tom Savini, Anthony LaPaglia, RZA, Misty Upham, James Remar, Rex Linn, James Russo and Tom Wopat.
The one thing this trailer does that the domestic one kept hidden, is prominently feature Shultz’s wagon and the giant tooth on top, which featured even more prominently in the Cannes footage I saw (read about that here). It also gives a look at the rest of the characters in the film, which was another item featured in the Cannes footage. In fact, together with the domestic trailer it looks like you’ve come close to seeing most of what I saw, the only difference being we got a couple of extended clips thrown in the mix.
I’ve added the new international trailer directly below and if you’d like to watch the domestic one again just click here.
