Word out of CinemaCon is that The Dictator is good and not just another rehash of the Borat and Bruno formula. Good to hear.
Paramount just released this clip featuring the opening of the film, which really just plays like another trailer, but what the hell. Give it a watch anyway.
The Dictator hits theaters on May 16 and tells the heroic story of a dictator (Sacha Baron Cohen) who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed. It is inspired by the best selling novel “Zabibah and The King” by Saddam Hussein.
