Warner Bros. has released the trailer (via Apple) for Sherlock Holmes: A Games of Shadows offering you your first look at the sequel to the 2009 Guy Ritchie-directed adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous characters starring Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law as his faithful sidekick Watson. And we also receive the first plot synopsis:
Sherlock Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room…until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large–Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris)–and not only is he Holmes’ intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective.
Along with Downey Jr., Law and Harris the film notably co-stars Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) plays the rifle-toting gypsy Sim and Stephen Fry (V for Vendetta) stars as Sherlock’s brother Mycroft Holmes.
