Paramount has debuted the trailer for Paranormal Activity 2, the sequel to last year’s surprise supernatural hit, which made over $151 million worldwide and was made on a $15,000 budget.
I loved the original film, which centered on a young, middle class couple who moves into their first home only to be increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be somehow demonic but is certainly most active in the middle of the night.
The sequel is directed by Tod Williams (The Door in the Floor) and to this point a cast list has yet to be officially listed. The film is set for a October 22, 2010 release, check out the trailer directly below.
Original Paranormal Activity helmer Oren Peli has since signed a deal with Paramount to direct Area 51, which will also be released later this year.
