Yahoo has debuted the trailer for Jane Campion’s Cannes hit Bright Star, a film that is currently tracking as a potential major Oscar contender.
Ben Whishaw stars as the poet John Keats as the film tells the story of his three-year love affair with Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish). Both Cornish and Whishaw have gained attention for their performances and Jane Campion will obviously be drawing attention once again for a potential Best Director nomination.
Bright Star is set to hit theaters on September 18 via Bob Berney and River Road’s Bill Pohlad soon-to-be-named new studio.
