Now available On Demand and screening in select theaters, Barely Lethal is a new action comedy that blends the traditional high school rom com with a high-stakes action thriller. From Fanboys director Kyle Newman, Barely Lethal stars Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit, Ender?s Game), Sophie Turner (?”Game of Thrones”) and Dove Cameron (“Liv and Maddie”), all of whom sat down with ComingSoon.net for a quick chat about the film.
Also starring Samuel L. Jackson (Django Unchained, Pulp Fiction) and Jessica Alba ( Machete), Barely Lethal follows a young woman (Steinfeld) who has lived her entire life as Agent 83, a highly trained operative working for a top secret organization that raises orphaned girls to be assassins. Dreaming of a life like the one she sees in movies, 83 manages to flee and adopts the identity of Megan Walsh, an exchange student who has just arrived at a suburban high school. Unfortunately for Megan, her rival, 84 (Turner) is soon dispatched to recover the AWOL agent. And that’s the just beginning of her troubles, both as a teenage girl going to high school and as an international assassin.
Barely Lethal was produced by Main Street Films, Hopscotch Pictures and RatPac Entertainment.
