Exclusive Dandelions Clip Previews the Thought-Provoking Documentary

ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Dandelions clip from the documentary by filmmaker Basil Mironer. The film is set to have its world premiere at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Monday, February 12 at 6 p.m. at Metro 4 on 618 State Street, Santa Barbara, CA. A second screening will take place at the same location on Tuesday, February 13 at 3 p.m., with both screenings featuring a Q&A afterward.

“A mysterious Facebook message propels filmmaker Basil Mironer to uncover a hidden family secret as he embarks on a journey from Los Angeles to Moscow,” reads the documentary’s synopsis. “His exploration into the past unveils an emotional revelation, forcing him to grapple with the presence of a man claiming to be his father. As he delves into the past, doubt surfaces, confronting him with the potential fallout of unearthing the truth. As Basil navigates the delicate balance between uncovering what happened and protecting family ties, the pressure mounts until it boils over. In this unexpected adventure, Basil bridges identity gaps and endeavors to heal familial wounds by seeking his own truth.”

Who produced Dandelions?

Dandelions was directed and produced by Basil Mironer as well as produced by Ben Mironer and Flavia Watson. It features cinematography by Mitchell Arens with sound by Miriam Arens. It was edited by Aleksandar Marinovich, Eric Elofson, and Basil Mironer with original music by Ben Mironer.
