ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive White River trailer for the erotic drama from first-time female director Ma Xue. The film is set to release digitally and through video-on-demand platforms on Friday, December 1.
“A woman living in quiet Yanjiao, separated from Beijing by the White River and observing strict quarantine rules, has a simple daily routine consisting of nothing but cooking and cleaning,” reads the movie’s official synopsis. “The mundanity, however, gives way to an erotic entanglement when she begins to sleep with a waiter from the neighborhood, under the watchful eye of her husband.”

Who stars in White River?
White River was directed by Ma Xue and written by Xu Weihao and Xue. The film stars Yuan Tian, Ning Feng Song, and Weihao Xu with cinematography by Ash Chen. It was produced by Ma Xue and Shan Zuolo. Its runtime is 91 minutes and it is in Mandarin and English with English subtitles.
