Tripped Up Trailer: Elemental’s Leah Lewis Leads Road Trip Comedy Movie

The official Tripped Up trailer for Decal Releasing‘s upcoming road trip comedy, starring Leah Lewis, who recently led Pixar’s latest animated hit, Elemental. The film arrives in theaters on October 20, followed by its digital release on October 27.

In the video, Lewis’ Lizzy and her three best friends embark on a weekend trip to cook at a food festival. However, Lizzy’s quest for perfection might jeopardized her life-long friendship, which will lead her to realize what’s more important than her career.

What to expect in Tripped Up?

“Aspiring chef Lizzy sets off with her three best friends in tow to compete in the prestigious Saucy Food Festival,” reads the synopsis. “What begins as a calculated career move quickly turns into a madcap misadventure full of food, fun and female bonding, where the girls learn that struggle can be the secret ingredient to success.”

Tripped Up stars Leah Lewis (The Half of It) as Lizzy, Ashley Moore (I Know What You Did Last Summer) as Mary, Ariel Winter (Modern Family) as Kai, Sasha Fox (One Fine Christmas) as Taylor, Jo Ellen Pellman (Prom) as Ashley, Gil Perez-Abraham (The Batman) as Jose, Judy Gold (All-American Girl) as Chef Missy, Danny Kornfeld (American Horror Story) as Tom, Justin Guarini (American Idol) as Lotus, and Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty) as Patricia Chamberlain.

The film is directed by Shruti Ganguly from a screenplay written by Cristina Catanzaro and Carrie Shaw. It is produced by Ganguly, Linda Evans, Nina Warren, Cristina Catanzaro, and Carrie Shaw.
