Morbius International TV Spot Reveals Incredible Power Comes at a Price

A brand new Morbius international TV spot for Sony Pictures’ next superhero film has arrived online, which continues to hyped-up Jared Leto’s portrayal of the titular Living Vampire. The film is currently slated to hit the theaters later this month on January 28.

The Morbius TV spot, which you can check out below, highlights both the advantages and disadvantages of Morbius’ superhuman abilities as he struggles to control his bloodthirst from taking over him.

“One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius,” reads the synopsis. “Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil – or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?

Based on the character created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gil Kane in 1971, Morbius sees the introduction of Jared Leto as Marvel’s anti-hero Morbius the Living Vampire. Joining him are Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as Loxias Crown, Adria Arjona (Good Omens) as Martine Bancroft, Jared Harris (The Crown) as Morbius’ mentor, and Tyrese Gibson (Fast and the Furious) as an FBI Agent.

Morbius is directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) from a script by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. It is produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Lucas Foster.
