Halloween Kills Featurette: Jamie Lee Curtis & David Gordon Green Offer Inside Look

Universal Pictures has released a new Halloween Kills featurette with star Jamie Lee Curtis and director David Gordon Green giving fans an inside look at the upcoming sequel. The film will be released in theaters and on Peacock on Friday, October 15.

Halloween Kills is directed by Green from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scott Teems, Danny McBride. Joining Curtis are Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Thomas Mann, Anthony Michael Hall, Dylan Arnold, and Robert Longstreet. It will also feature the return of franchise alums Kyle Richards, Nancy Stephens, and Charles Cyphers.

“Minutes after Laurie Strode, her daughter Karen and granddaughter Allyson left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor,” reads the official synopsis. “But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.”

Based on the characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill, Halloween Kills is executive produced by Carpenter, Curtis, McBride, Green, and Ryan Freimann, with Malek Akkad, Jason Blum, and Bill Block serving as producers. It is a production by Universal Pictures, Miramax, Blumhouse Productions, and Trancas International Films.

2018’s Halloween, starring icon Jamie Lee Curtis was a box office success, earning more than $250 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing chapter in the four-decade franchise, and setting a new record for the biggest opening weekend in history for a horror film starring a woman.
