Disney’s Jungle Cruise Featurette Highlights Its Cast Camaraderie 

Walt Disney Studios has revealed a brand new Jungle Cruise featurette for their long-awaited action-adventure pic, providing us with some fun behind-the-scenes footage from the film’s production. The video, which you can check out below, highlights the main cast’s incredible chemistry and camaraderie. It features interviews by Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, and Jack Whitehall as they talked about how grateful they were for being able to work together as well as how much they’ve enjoyed their on-set interactions.

The film is slated to arrive in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access on July 30. Its current theatrical release date sees Jungle Cruise going up against Focus Features’ Matt Damon-led drama Stillwater and A24’s fantasy drama The Green Knight

Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s Jungle Cruise is an adventure-filled, rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. It will be led by Dwayne Johnson (Black Adam) and Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place films) along with Edgar Ramirez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.

In the film,  Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila—his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities—possessing the power to change the future of medicine. Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank, and their fate—and mankind’s—hangs in the balance.

Jungle Cruise is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows) from a screenplay written by Glenn Ficarra & John Requa, based on a story by Michael Green, Ficarra and Requa. It is being produced by Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia through their Seven Bucks Productions banner along with Beau Flynn (San Andreas, Baywatch) of Flynn Picture Co. John Davis, and John Fox of Davis Entertainment.
