Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling Trailer Reveals a 21st Century O-Town

Netflix has released the official trailer for the highly-anticipated movie revival Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling, featuring the return of beloved characters Rocko, Heffer Wolfe and Filburt as they try to fit in the 21st century. Based on Nickelodeon’s popular and iconic animated series, the film will be available for streaming on August 9. Check out the video below!

In Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling, After 20 years in space, Rocko returns to a technologically advanced O-Town and makes it his mission to get his favorite show back on the air.

Originally airing from 1993-1996, the animated Rocko’s Modern Life follows the adventures of an Australian wallaby named Rocko and his two companions, Heffer Wolfe and Filburt, through their adventures in their home of O-Town.

Originally announced back in August 2016, the revival was set to be part of a lineup of returning Nickelodeon series including RugratsThe Ren & Stimpy Show and Doug, alongside 2017’s Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie, which received very positive reviews from critics and acted as a definitive series finale for the series, including answering the whereabouts of his missing parents. After years of development, production and exchanging hands between Nickelodeon and Netflix, the revival is finally coming to life.

Nickelodeon also premiered its Legends of the Hidden Temple original TV movie in 2016, an action-adventure movie based on its ‘90s game show of the same name. Drawing from the original show’s premise of kids competing to retrieve artifacts from a mysterious Mayan temple, the new action-adventure TV movie version followed three siblings who embark on a high-stakes, life-or-death mission.
