Girls can be mean, and Lindsay Lohan’s new flick Mean Girls takes that mean and makes it fun.
For some reason I keep going into Lohan’s movies thinking I am going to be bored stiff considering that I am a 27-year-old male and these movies are aimed at young women, but they always seem to be entertaining enough to keep me intrigued throughout the duration.
Now here we have Cady Heron (Lohan) someone who has been raised in the bushes of Africa her entire life entering the jungle of public high school for the first time in her life. With this new adventure she soon realizes that public school can be just as wild as the wild.
Cady along with her group of friends sets out to infiltrate a group of girls know as “The Plastics” and get the info on what they think of the rest of the school, but it soon turns ugly when Cady falls for queen bee of The Plastics, Regina George’s (Rachel McAdams), ex-boyfriend. Once Regina catches wind of the news she immediately steps in the way of Cady’s plans, which sets off an all out war.
While this film wasn’t as good as her last flick, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, it does manage to keep your attention through the use of a few witty jokes and a fast paced storyline.
I am never quite sure what it is about Lohan, but I think this is a young lady that will be around for a while as her films seem to continuously hit the mark.
