Winston Duke set to star in Paramount Players’ action film Heroine
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Black Panther star Winston Duke has officially signed on to join in Paramount Players’ new action thriller film Heroine, which will be directed by Dan Casey (Kin) with Matt Kaplan of Ace Entertainment producing. The studio plans to begin filming in spring.
HEROINE tells of a young mother on the run who moves to a new city in search of a clean start, only to realize that a mysterious and enigmatic new neighbor may in fact be a profoundly dangerous criminal. Duke will play the neighbor, a dark and seemingly tragic figure at the start who turns out to be much, much more than we expect.
Duke is best known for his role as M’Baku in the MCU’s Black Panther. He will next be seen in director Jordan Peele’s next social thriller Us starring alongside Black Panther co-star Lupita Nyong’o and Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Tim Heidecker (Ant-Man and the Wasp). Us is scheduled to be released on March 2019.
