The Education of Fredrick Fitzell: Amanda Brugel joins Thriller
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Handmaid’s Tale actress Amanda Brugel has signed on to join director Christopher MacBride’s upcoming mystery thriller film, The Education of Fredrick Fitzell starring Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner trilogy, American Assassin, Teen Wolf), Maika Monroe (It Follows, I’m Not Here, The Guest), and Hannah Gross.
The Education of Fredrick Fitzell follows the story of a man named Fred, who literally and metaphorically journeys into his past after a chance encounter with a man forgotten from his youth. As past, present, and future begin to intersect and parallel each other, Fred explores all the possible lives he could lead. Which one will he choose?”
In addition to Brugel, Brooklyn’s Emory Cohen and Keir Gilchrist are also set to appear in the film. Brugel will playing the role of Fred’s Boss while Cohen and Gilchrist will be Fred’s childhood friends.
“I feel so blessed to have such a talented cast lined up to help tell the story that’s been in my head for years, and hopefully give audiences an experience that will blow their minds,” director MacBride said in a statement.
The Education of Fredrick Fitzell is written and directed by MacBride, known for his found-footage thriller The Conspiracy, and will be produced by Lee Kim (I’ll Follow You Down) for Resolute Films. Russell Ackerman and John Schoenfelder of Addictive Pictures will be executive producing the project.
