Kristen Wiig Joins The Skeleton Twins

Kristen Wiig has joined the cast of Craig Johnson’s upcoming drama/comedy The Skeleton Twins. Variety reports that she’ll appear opposite the previously-attached Bill Hader and appears to be replacing the formerly-attached Anna Faris. The trade also says that Luke Wilson is set for a co-starring role.

“It’s kinda more of a drama,” Hader told ComingSoon.net in an interview last year. ” directed by this guy Craig Johnson, written by Mark Heyman who wrote ‘Black Swan.’ It’s more of a drama where me and Anna will play twins.”

Wiig and Hader will play Maggie and Milo, twins that begin to reexamine their lives after each has a near-death experience on the same day.

Jay and Mark Duplass are attached to executive produce with Jared Goldman while Stephanie Langhoff, Jennifer Lee and Jacob Pechenik will produce.

The Skeleton Twins is slated to begin production later this month in New York.
