First announced for production last November, Niels Arden Oplev’s Dead Man Down appears to be adding another cast member in Dominic Cooper. Variety says that the Captain America: The First Avenger star is likely to join the project opposite Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace.
Dead Man Down is described as being a powerful action thriller and portrait of two people caught in the cross-hairs of revenge. Director Oplev (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and leading lady Rapace reunite for another thrilling tale of vengeance, with Farrell joining the team as Victor, right hand man to an underground crime lord in New York City who is seduced and blackmailed by Beatrice (Rapace), a crime victim seeking retribution. Their intense chemistry leads them spiraling into payback delivered in violent catharsis.
Cooper next appears on the big screen in June 22nd’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
