First announced for development last year, Columbia Pictures’ The Big Stone Grid now has a director. Deadline reports that Michael Mann has signed on to bring S. Craig Zahler’s spec script to the big screen.
The present-day crime thriller focuses on two detectives who uncover a gruesome exortion ring operating in New York City.
The article also says that Mann himself is expected to do a rewrite alongside Zahler and that the setting for the film could be relocated to Los Angeles.
