Shioli Kutsuna Joins Deadpool Sequel in Mystery Role

Japanese actress Shioli Kutsuna has joined Deadpool 2 in a mystery role

Although her character is being kept a mystery for the time being, Shioli Kutsuna has, per Deadline, joined the cast of the upcoming Deadpool sequel. She is said to be playing a key role opposite the returning Ryan Reynolds and a cast of newcomers that includes Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as Domino, a luck-manipulating mutant, and Josh Brolin as Cable, the time-traveling son of the X-Men’s Cyclops. Jack Kesy (The Strain, Baywatch), meanwhile, is attacked to play the film’s central villain which, while unconfirmed, is rumored to be Irish mutant Black Tom Cassidy.

Shioli Kutsuna can be seen coming up in writer and director Atsuko Hirayanagi’s comedy drama Oh Lucy! and in Martin Zandvliet’s The Outsider. The latter film stars Jared Leto as a man who, in postwar Japan, winds up joining the Yakuza.
