McBride & Robinson May Fight The Apocalypse , Too

A couple days ago, we reported that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are starting to prepare for their directorial debut The Apocalypse, formerly “Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse,” as they added the names Jonah Hill and James Franco to the cast. (You can read that original story here).

MTV talked to Rogen recently and got him to confirm two more names in the cast, also frequent collaborators, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson from Pineapple Express, who will join Seth, Jay Baruchel, Hill and Franco, all of them playing themselves.

One of the names that had been attached to the project over a year ago was Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, but Rogen told MTV that the young actor may not be as interested as he was last year:

“It doesn’t look like he’s willing to push things as far as we [are],” Rogen told them.

Ironically, ComingSoon.net had just spent some time talking with Radcliffe earlier this week, and he confirmed he had talked with Rogen about the movie, but didn’t think he’d be doing it now:

“There was talk of that and we talked about it, but I’m not sure what’s happening with that. I would love to work with those guys in the future, absolutely, but that was mainly going around.”

The Apocalypse sounds like it’s really shaping up and considering the track record Rogen and Goldberg have so far, we have high hopes that it will be just as funny as their other movies.
