Ruth Wilson in Talks for Lone Ranger Leading Lady

Deadline is reporting that director Gore Verbinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer may have found their leading lady for The Lone Ranger and have gone into negotiations with British actress Ruth Wilson, best known for her roles on television, particularly her Golden Globe-nominated role in the 2006 Masterpiece Theatre mini-series “Jane Eyre.”

Although little is known about the role she plays other than that the character’s name is “Rebecca,” getting the role would be a huge break for the actress.

Already cast as the Lone Ranger and Tonto are Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp, respectively. Walt Disney Pictures has set a release date for the movie on December 21, 2012.
